Freelance creative director in Lisbon

I'm Vasco Vicente, a freelance creative director, design leader and brand consultant for agencies and brands in Lisbon and across Portugal. I trained in Lisbon at IADE, I speak Portuguese and English, and I run my studio, VVStudio, between Lisbon projects and my base in Amsterdam.

I currently work with Google AI and have created work for Meta, Apple, Nike, Sony, Riot Games, Ridley Scott and British Airways, earning 82 awards along the way.

Lisbon has become one of Europe's busiest creative cities, with international brands, tech companies and agencies building teams here. Many of them need a senior creative lead who has worked at global level and who also understands Portugal, its language and how teams here work. That is the gap I fill.

I studied graphic design at IADE in Lisbon from 2006 to 2009 and completed an MA in Film, Photography and Animation at the same school from 2009 to 2011. Since then I have led work for global brands with agencies in Amsterdam, London, Berlin, Copenhagen, Vienna, Tokyo, Singapore and Los Angeles. Lisbon is where that started, and I keep working with teams there.
